Sunday Concert Series with Robyn Ludwick benefits Camp Good Sam

Old Glory Ranch is thrilled to host Robyn Ludwick as part of our Sunday Concert Series on Sunday, April 14th. The Concert Series is held on the second Sunday of each month to benefit a local cause. This month a portion of the proceeds will benefit Camp Good Sam Wimberley.

Camp Good Sam offers Wimberley area families of at-risk elementary students a helping hand by providing a six-week summer day camp for their children that includes transportation to and from the camp, breakfast, lunch, and a structured learning curriculum, along with field trips and fun activities to help them succeed in school, career, and life.

Our musical guest, Robyn Ludwick, the Wimberley, Texas based singer-songwriter has distinguished herself over the last decade as one of the most ferociously compelling voices not only in her native Lone Star State, but across the wider American landscape, both home and abroad. She is also the “kid sister” of two of the most respected and/ or notorious Texas singer-songwriters of their generation, Bruce and Charlie Robison. Robyn, ever the rebel at heart, started on a very different path. She put herself through college and secured a “real world” career in forensic engineering. It was not a mere fling, either; although she was between jobs when she finally gave songwriting a whirl in her early 30s, she was back in the engineering field long before her music career took off and managed to keep one foot planted in both worlds for more than a decade. In fact, it wasn’t until shortly after the summer 2014 release of her fourth album that she finally quit her “day job” for good and committed herself full-time to her true calling. Besides making music, Robyn has also recently helped to bring the Iconic Bar and Dancehall, The Devil’s Backbone back!

Please join us for a wonderful evening of music while also supporting a worthy cause on Sunday, April 14th at Old Glory Ranch (3633 River Road). Tickets are $20 in advance and may be purchased through EventBrite or by going to www.oldgloryranch.com/music. Gates open at 5pm with food available for purchase from Pappa D’s Mobile Kitchen. Music begins in the Chapel at 6pm. The event is BYOB (no rolling coolers, please)!
