Outlaws in the Opera House Comedy Showcase back at 7A Ranch

Schutze Scores Productions presents Outlaws in the Opera House Comedy Showcase, Volume 3, February 29 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Opera House at 7A Ranch. Wimberley native Jack Schutze is presenting three comedians for the Thursday night show.

Chandra Murthy is a former tech worker turned comic. His hilarious and unique comedy reflects his life and funny personal experiences as “an immigrant from a third world country,” he says. He has won several funniest person contests and is a headliner at clubs and corporate shows all across Texas, including San Antonio’s Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club and El Paso Comic Strip.

Tori Pool is the host and producer of the “Worth Repeating” podcast on Texas Public Radio. A regular at Texas comedy clubs, Pool has opened for Cristela Alonzo, Mo Amer, Chris Estrad, Paul Reiser and Tom Green. When she isn’t on stage, she says, she “enjoys painfully hot yoga, cloud watching and begging her teenage boy to just hang out with her.”

Tai Nguyen has appeared on multiple comedy specials including “Pigeon Confetti,” and “Sorry for Ruining Dinner” and was a finalist for the funniest person in Austin. He started watching comedians, he says, “like Chris Rock, Richard Pryor, Bill Hicks and Jerry Seinfeld.” When he began pursuing stand up comedy at age 27, he was a support person for AT&T who had the knack to make his coworkers laugh.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Snacks, beer, wine and canned cocktails available for purchase. For ages 18 and up. General Admission tickets are $15, online or at the door. The 7A Ranch is located at 333 Wayside Drive. For online tickets, go to eventbrite.com and search for Outlaws in the Opera House Comedy Showcase, Vol. 3.
