Mousetrap coming to EmilyAnn

The EmilyAnn Theatre is busy, busy getting ready to open their production of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, directed by Ameer Mobarak and featuring some of Central Texas’ finest actors, this Friday, October 26th. The Mousetrap is the longest running play to ever run in London, and with this honor also comes a long tradition of theatre mystery and magic, including a telephone prop still used in productions that was in the original production, and reviewers and audience members being held to an oath of secrecy about the ending of the play and the revelation of the murderer. The EmilyAnn has multiple stages, a very large outdoor amphitheatre and a small indoor studio space configured in the round (audience on all sides of the stage). This production will be performed in the Burdine Johnson Indoor Studio, giving this already chilling (and also funny) murder mystery an even more intimate environment. Tickets will sell out quickly as the theatre only seats 72 audience members per performance so be sure to buy your tickets online quickly. The Mousetrap runs October 26- November 18th, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. You can purchase tickets online at www.emilyann.org.

In addition to preparing to open this thrilling and ever popular murder mystery, and running a theatre education program that runs after-school drama classes for ages 5-17, featuring over 60 students this session, the EmilyAnn is now also bringing Princesses and Superheroes to parties and events in the community. Disney’s Belle and famous superhero Batman recently judged the costume contest at the Scudder Elementary Fall Festival. This holiday season their princesses and superheroes will be visiting Seton Hays Hospital, shelters, and museums to brighten up the holidays for children in Central Texas. They also offers a full tea party (including dress-up for the kids and much more) hosted by the princess of your choice on the beautiful grounds of the EmilyAnn. If you would like to have a superhero or princess attend your event or party, contact [email protected] for more information.
