Market Days gets into the spirit of October

At Lions Field, vendors and volunteers will be in high spirits on Saturday, October 5 for Wimberley’s Lions Club market day. Red-tag specials include costumes, seasonal decorations, artisan crafts and goods, hats, t-shirts and loads more. Wimberley Leo Club members from the local high schools will be on hand to help youngsters with decorating at the Pumpkin Station under the Pavilion starting at 10 a.m. and lasting as long as the mini-pumpkins are in supply.

For convenience, parents can rent a baby-stroller at Booth 6, near Gate 1. The courtesy cart can be arranged at the information tables for visitors with mobility needs. And, rent a push-cart for $5.00 for the day. As always, the team of happy haulers will transport shoppers and their purchases to their cars. All gratuities from “hauling” go to the Texas Lions Camp for children with disabilities.

Every Market Days presents live music beginning around 11:00 a.m. on each of 3 stages. The Jesse Stratton Band headlines at the Pavilion stage. JR’s Rustic Rhythms plays the Shady Grove stage. And, Haley Harkin plays at the Hill Top stage.

Wimberley Lions Club Market Days happens on the first Saturday of each month, March through December, rain or shine. October’s shopping hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Find this festive marketplace at Lions Field, off FM 2325, about a mile from the Wimberley Square. Lion Club’s parking has expanded. Look for the feathery banners, signs, and Leos for directions. In addition to the expansion, there is parking located on the left side of FM 2325, past the car wash.
