FFA Wildgame Dinner is on!

Fall means cooler temperatures, changing colors of the cypress and Spanish Oaks, football at every level and the Wimberley FFA Seventh Annual Wildgame Dinner. Every year the fundraiser is the largest for the organization and helps fund most of the kids’ activities.

This includes attending and showing their livestock in front of judges. The funds also will help pay for overnight hotels for participants, some of who would not be able to attend without funds.

The fundraiser also helps with keeping the animals on the WHS campus and other incidentals to help the kids learn responsibility, and no matter what farm animal they are raising, it gives them pride in ownership and being out in the country like Wimberley is, just being around the animals puts a smile on their faces.

“We will have a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. There will be over 20 guns that will either be raffled or sold during the live auction as well as a silent auction. We currently a number of guided hunting trips, fishing trips, and other prizes including items built by the WHS Ag students that will be included in the live and silent auctions,” FFA Advisor Jason Geisen said.

Advance tickets are $30 or can be purchased for $35 at the door. Advance tickets will be entered into a raffle. Tickets can be purchased by emailing: wimberleyffaalumni@gmail. com or by contacting an FFA board member

All proceeds from the event go to support the youth of Wimberley FFA and Hays County.
