Date set for Martha Knies Community Park dedication

Mark it on your calendars, less than two months to go, on March 7, 2021; the dedication of the Martha Knies Community will take place. Many volunteer community members, businesses, and other organizations have helped to put the park in great shape and a quiet space, and make it a spot to be proud of. Its location is literally just feet from the Square. As the dedication nears, fundraising efforts are going well.

“Martha has always led by example – serving as an inspiration to all of us. It’s a joy to be honoring her decades of service… A gen tle reminder, foundational contributions of $1,000 or more need to be received by January 15 to be included on a bronze plaque at the Park. Donations can be sent to KWB at P. O. Box 2253, Wimberley, Texas,” Stephanie Nestlerode, with the Martha Knies Community Park Project, said.

“How grateful I am for the generosity of those who gave their time, talents and financial support to bring the Martha Knies Community Park to fruition. Not only the names on the bronze plaque, but to every single person, business and organization that made it possible,” KWB President Carol Scheel said.
