Corn Hole tournament for Team Tori

Team Tori presents the 3rd Annual Corn Hole Tournament as a fundraiser to support Rett Syndrome Research & Awareness. Join Team Tori as Old Glory Ranch, 3633 River Road in Wimberley on Sunday, October 13th to have a little fun for a great cause. Gates open at noon and play begins at 1pm. The evening will culminate with a concert by Walt Wilkins at 7pm inside the Chapel.

Team Tori is named after Lisa & Kenneth Krauskopf’s youngest daughter, who has struggled against the ravages of this syndrome for most of her 21 years. Tori was born and developed normally for the first 16 months of her life, then we started to notice physical and educational challenges. Tori and her Rett Syndrome siblings suffer from a host of complications including seizures, gastrointestinal complications, scoliosis, irregular heart rhythms, breathing irregularities, and even sudden and unexplained death. Most cannot speak, walk, or have any functional hand use. In spite of quite limited physically capabilities, researchers have found that people with Rett Syndrome have much higher intellectual abilities than first thought. New technologies have opened doors to allow them to express themselves in ways that weren’t possible before.

Researchers believe RS has the potential to be the first curable neurological disease and Rett Syndrome Research Trust has even gone so far as to target a three year goal for a cure! Curing Rett Syndrome also has the real potential to help unlock cures for other neurological conditions like Parkinson’s Disease and Alzheimer’s. You can go to girlpower2cure.org or google Rett Syndrome to find out more about this devastating disorder and read updates on the latest research!

Adult Division fee is $50 per team and includes: Team Entry, 2 meal tickets, 2 tickets to Sunday Concert with Walt Wilkins, October 13th at 7pm (Old Glory Ranch).

You may register through Event Brite or email entries to [email protected] and send check to Team Tori, 3633 River Road, Wimberley, Texas. Donations are also accepted via Venmo. Registration closes on October 11th and payment must be made by then as well!
