CLUE: ON STAGE at Wimberley Players

The comedy play, CLUE: ON STAGE opens on the Wimberley Players stage February 18 and runs through March 13. From the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, CLUE is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery featuring many of WP’s well-loved actors. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party with murder and blackmail on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by the butler Wadsworth, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard, all race to find the killer as the bodies stack up. CLUE is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out… WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

Playing Wadsworth, the butler, is Kevin Gates, a newcomer to the WP stage. In the role of Yvette, the French maid, is Roxanne Strobel, seen recently in It Had to Be You and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol. Miss Scarlet is played by Jessica Allen, also new to the WP stage. Playing Mrs. Peacock is Karin Cunningham, seen recently in Picnic and Nunsense. In the role of Mrs. White is Carla Daws, a WP alum of many roles including The Trip to Bountiful and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Acting in the role of Professor Plum is Greg Dew, seen recently in Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol. In the role of Colonel Mustard is Mark Webster, seen recently in the role of Tin Woman. In the role of Mr. Green is Dylan Droz, who recently appeared in It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play. In the role of The Cook is Morganne McCann, a veteran of Lost in Yonkers and The Skin of Our Teeth. Siddharth Kumar, recently seen in War of the Worlds plays Mr. Boddy, and Melinda Ellisor, a veteran of many WP productions including Born Yesterday and Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol plays The Unexpected Cop.
