Cleaning the latrines
The Wimberley City Council acted on a proposal from Mariposa Cleaning Services, LLC for increased restroom cleaning services at the Wimberley Square’s two restroom facilities and at the Martha Knies Community Park.
During the week, they are cleaned and disinfected twice a day and three times on the weekend. “Each facility is disinfected with “Vita Oxide,” which kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses… It is from the same distributor that Wimberley ISD used in the classrooms and at spring break,” Mariposa owner Sara Aragon said. “Each surface in the restrooms is sprayed with “Vita Oxide” and left to sit five to ten minutes.”
That includes doors and handles, really anything the human hand could come into contact with.
Wimberley being a tourist town, insuring the visitors and businesses are kept as safe as possible is required. Taking precautions and these extra steps is a move that will help everyone.
