Chapel Coat Giveaway has good timing
Helping to keep families warm in the coming months, winter clothes and coats were available for area families and it was completely free on Saturday at the Chapel of the Hills.
Last year’s Coat Giveaway was not very successful, but it was held in October and had not been a freeze like this year. The cold front and then perfect weather on Saturday help the efforts of the volunteers.
“We’ve been able to help 50 to 70 families. We started with 21 tables, full of clothes and coats and there are only 8 tables left with few clothes,” Louise Faulkner, President of the Women’s Guild said. By 10:30 a.m. the volunteers celebrated because, “It’s been a complete success,” volunteer Tinka Eoff said.
