Celebrating Easter in Wimberley
Yes, it‘s been a while since events like Easter Egg hunts were held in town. And the rain tried to delay it too, but that was not the case on the Saturday before Easter. The St. Mary’s Catholic Church Parish Activity Center was opened and candy and stuffed animals had to find a home somewhere.
Stuffed with candy, chocolate and goodies inside, the plastic eggs were hidden where they could be seen, with all activities under a roof of course. The dark clouds and cold rain outside was in great contrast to the warm and well-lit atmosphere of the indoor activities.
The kids’ smiles and shouts of glee were the order of the day, and every adult in attendance enjoyed all of the pageantry of the season, reminding all of the wonder of youth, of the story of Resurrection and rebirth of Easter, and the spring season, itself, even in a world of strife and pandemic.
