April Concert in the Park to resume

It is March and the weather is warming. St. Patrick’s Day will come and it is spring break. The bluebonnets and other wildflowers will start to pop out of the ground. These are a just few warmer things to think about after being sucker-punched in February by snow and record-breaking cold.

Think April. This is when Wimberley really starts to heat up with events. It hits and the weather rejuvenates us all. Although the pandemic’s effects will put a little bit of a damper on numerous events, Wimberley’s Parks Department will be resuming their Concert in the Park series.

“In April, it’s music every Friday,” said Wimberley’s Parks Director Richard Shaver. “We’re excited to have it back again. Last year we were not prepared. We did not have protocols. This year we are ready to go and provide good times with public safety number one.” Last year’s canceled series was missed by many and a return is sure to be welcomed on a balmy, warm, April spring night, something to ponder in early March. The protocols will be in place of course.
