Ace customers help Camp Good Sam
One great thing about small local communities is that a close relationship can be developed with locally owned businesses. One of those businesses is, of course Ace Hardware.
Christy and Tad Degenhart the owners at Ace have a program for their customers that is called “Round up your Change” where customers can have the change of their purchase amount rounded up to the next dollar with the cents going to a different non-profit charity each quarter in the year.
The previous quarter was devoted to Good Sam. During the summer, their Camp Good Sam, one of their major programs, tries to break the cycle of at-risk youth in Wimberley, by providing learning during the summer, a time where low-income children can lose two to three months in reading and math skills.
Ace Hardware presented Good Sam a check for $10,130. to help the non-profit. The recipient charity that will benefit from the Round up program the next 2018 quarter will be the Emily-Ann Theatre and Gardens.
