9th Annual Rolling Oaks MusicFest Fundraiser Scheduled for May 11-12

Putting the “Fun” in Fundraising, the ninth annual Rolling Oaks Musicfest Fundraiser will again be a two-day event featuring free music and great barbecue on Saturday May 11, and a pancake brunch on Sunday May 12. As in the past, this event will showcase the intimate Rolling Oaks Club stage, natural park surroundings, and top-notch talent to raise funds for the maintenance and operation of the Rolling Oaks Club. The event will be held at the clubhouse, 950 Lonesome Trail, Driftwood Texas, 78619, in the Rolling Oaks subdivision, seven miles east of Wimberley on FM 3237.

This year’s acts include local favorites Ryan Craven, Mike Bond, Him & Her, Two Hands High, Purly Gates, ragtime picker Pat Green, Walker Pickens, The Ramblewoods, The Coyotes, the Nick Garcia Trio and Laughing Waters.

“Bring your chairs or blankets and laid-back attitudes,” advised Bobtom Reed, Producer for the event. “Our festival will entertain the Rolling Oaks way: good music and food served up in a relaxed country setting.”

Each band or musician will take the stage for one hour, beginning at noon on Saturday and 10:00 AM on Sunday. Later sets on Saturday will run 90 minutes.

On Saturday, May 11, Food will be served from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and tickets are available at the door or in advance. Adult meals are $10. Kid’s plates are $5. Soft drinks and desserts will be available at varying prices. Music acts are from 12:00 – Midnight.

On Sunday, May 12, Food will be served from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, and tickets are available at the door or in advance. Sunday Pancake Bruch is $5. Adult BBQ meals are $10. Kid’s BBQ plates are $5. Soft drinks and desserts will be available at varying prices. Music acts are from 10:00AM – 2:00 PM.
