Texan football takes down rival Navarro Panthers
In a battle for position atop district standings, the Wimberley Texans hosted Geronimo Navarro’s Panthers Friday night at Texan Stadium. The game historically determines the district championship and brings together all things good about Friday Night Lights - hard-hitting defenses, explosive plays on offense, and intense struggles to impose a team’s will on its opponent. This game was no exception. 10/27/2022 12:00 AM

WVACA bronze boot unveiled
Wimberley’s reputation as an arts community got a big boost with the unveiling of a magnificent bronze sculpture in the heart of the new Oak Park & Welcome Center just off Wimberley Square. The fourfoot high bronze boot, which is called “Hill Country Soul,” is a gift to the city of Wimberley from the Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance in appreciation of the town’s continuing support for the arts and culture in the Wimberley Valley. Bronze artists Michael W. Hall and Paul Malachi, both of Michael Hall Foundry in Driftwood TX, created and named “Hill Country Soul.” Michael Hall designed and created the boot mold; Paul Malachi carved the boot’s intricate surface design. 10/27/2022 12:00 AM

We have lived in Woodcreek for 11 years. I have known Chrys Grummert since 2019. He works tirelessly for the citizens of Woodcreek. His understanding of how our City government should work is remarkable. Since becoming a Council member, the Brookmeadow overlay and Special Exemption for senior and disabled residents examples of Chrys’s work. He continues to put information on social media in a clear and helpful manner so that Woodcreek residents can be informed. 10/20/2022 12:00 AM

We are so lucky to live in Woodcreek and our beautiful Wimberley Valley. It is so important that Woodcreek continues to have good, strong leadership. We cannot afford to go back to the chaos, the big-spending, and the pro-development policies of the past. Therefore, I support: CHRIS GRUMMERT, LINNEA BAILEY, and JOE KOTARDA. These are good folks. They will work hard, and they will work together. They will continue the fight to protect our little community, and our amazing way of life. 10/20/2022 12:00 AM
