Wimberley Valley Big Band sizzles, swings into summertime with a free concert
The weather is hot, but the music will be even hotter when the Wimberley Valley Big Band presents their family-friendly, free concert on Saturday, June 18 in the chill of the VFW Hall in Wimberley. From 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., the group of twenty or so volunteer musicians will play an array of popular big band selections. Director, Doug Gillory, said, “This concert will be an opportunity for us to play some jazz and swing with a little rock with multiple soloists to showcase the improvisational skills of our super-talented members.” 06/16/2022 12:00 AM
