Texan basketball sweeps week
The Texans basketball team advanced to 2-1 this week as they won on the road against the Randolph Ro-Hawks (0-2) on Monday at Randolph Wimberley came out strong taking a commanding 10 point lead against the Ro-Hawks in the first half and never looked back as they out scores Randolph in every quarter but the second with a final score of 76-46 giving The Texans back to back wins.

Sarah Jarosz comes home
After singing her song, “Hometown,” four-time Grammy winner Sarah Jarosz told her audience during her concert in the Wimberley Playhouse last week that, “This is emotional. It’s taking all of my power not to burst into tears.” Earlier in the day, Mayor Gina Fulkerson declared November 22, 2023 “Sarah Jarosz Day.”

It is the time of the year to be thankful
At this time of year, we reflect on the year’s bounty and events. We all give thanks in our own ways. At KWB, we are thankful for many things. The recent rain has greened up the area and added much needed water back into our waterways and aquifers. We are hopeful that we will be able to get out soon and consider new plantings. One project will be the area by the Wimberley Square sign, giving it some care after the recent rebuild of the wall.

Daniel signs with St. Eds
Juniper Daniel was spent the last three years of her high school career working for this moment. He as a freshman, she was one of the leaders on the Wimberley High School Softball team. As she readies for her senior year, she had to get one very important thing out of the way – where she was going to continue her academic and athletic career.
