Hays County Election Administrator named to statewide advisory committee
Hays County Elections Administrator Jennifer Doinoff was appointed in May to Co-Chair the statewide education advisory committee of the Texas Association of Counties County Elections Academy (CEA). The newly formed committee will advise TAC and help set the curriculum for the CEA, a new education and training program specifically for those in county governments who administer elections. 06/30/2022 12:00 AM

Danforth cafeteria manager honored a ‘Hunger Hero’
Marc Steiner was recognized by the Wimberley Independent School District Board of Trustees last week for being named a No Kid Hungry Texas Hunger Hero Hall of Famer. No Kid Hungry Texas recognized five Hunger Heroes from across the state as individuals who have gone above and beyond to ensure kids have access to healthy meals. Marc, the cafeteria manager at Danforth Junior High, didn’t let a year rife with staffing shortage, supply chain disruptions and other challenges get in the way of performing his duties at DJH. Even with just one staff member on crew, he prepared and served meals to the high volume of students at the junior high school. 06/30/2022 12:00 AM
