Lightning pushed the original 7:30 p.m. start back fifty minutes, but once started, the Texans froze out Austin Achieve’s Polar Bears to complete the regular season as undefeated champions of 4A Division II District 14.

Texans stay undefeated

Friday night’s football game in Lago Vista would determine playoff seeding for district 14. The Vikings came into the game sporting a single loss to Navarro in their week seven matchup and - with a win - could draw into a three-way tie for the district lead. Texan football takes down rival Navarro Panthers

In a battle for position atop district standings, the Wimberley Texans hosted Geronimo Navarro’s Panthers Friday night at Texan Stadium. The game historically determines the district championship and brings together all things good about Friday Night Lights - hard-hitting defenses, explosive plays on offense, and intense struggles to impose a team’s will on its opponent. This game was no exception.
