What the heck is going on?

Letters to the Editor

I own a home on the Blanco River and have lived in it here in Wimberley for the past 26 years. I recently attended our city council meeting the week of July 16th. I was shocked at how the meeting was run. I found our Mayor to be very short with everybody and everything. It also appeared that one of the council members Allison Davis was not treated with respect and the other members on the council complicit. It reminded me of what is going on in Washington. Not a democratic process. It was very disturbing.

What I can’t figure out for the life of me is how could the idea of running pipes under Cypress Creek even be considered. There would be pipes going one direction and then pipes coming back under a second time. REALLY? From my observations it seems that a pipe, whether under your house, across the Midwest, under the oceans, above ground or underground, eventually ALL spring a leak at some point. Are we honestly willing to take that chance? There are NO guarantees that a pipe will not leak! We have a plan in place that has funding, and is 20% complete and stays on the South side of our beloved Cypress Creek and Blue Hole so, as I say, “What The Heck Is Going On?”
