As we move toward 2019, I hope we’ll consider what motivates us as a community. For me, the idea of a united Wimberley Valley, working for transparency and improvements to benefit all citizens is the priority. Mayor Scheel has proposed a council planning meeting for sharing our ideas with one another. I’ve asked for an alternative; that we consider holding a “Special” City Meeting where all Woodcreek citizens may speak their hearts for improvements in the upcoming year. My fervent wish is we’ll hear from those of you who may not have time to attend regular Council meetings. We have ETJ issues in our future with the new school under planning. Water issues with the Aqua Texas contract ending in less than two years, and roadway improvements to discuss as a community. Please watch for this meeting or email your council members and ask for this special time to speak. While we’re certainly elected to represent your wishes, it’s nice to see your faces occasionally. And your voice is dear to all of us.
