Supporting Holtsinger for WISD

Dear Wimberley Voters,

A big Thank You to our hometown newspaper for offering this space to support a candidate.

I am writing to encourage support for Gretchen Holtsinger, who is running for place 6 on the WISD School Board. I don’t know Gretchen personally. I just read her and her opponent’s bios. Either one might make a fine school board member. However, I was impressed by Gretchen’s long history in the field of education; it’s about time .As a long-time teacher in WISD, I overwhelmingly recommend your vote go to a candidate that has been on the front line a of the public school system. We already have upstanding members of our business and family communities represented on this school board. Excluding our superintendent, not one single member of this board has ever been an educator. I may be biased in favor of teachers, but I believe it important that an educator’s view be represented on the board. You know Wimberley loves its teachers! And rightly so. Who could possibly better represent teachers than Gretchen, who has been there and done that?

So please consider supporting Gretchen Holtsinger for our open position on the WISD School Board when you cast your vote.
