In Support of Charles LeCompte

As we approach the November 5th election, I want to say a few words of support regarding Charlie LeCompte who is a candidate for the Woodcreek City Council.

I believe Charlie Le-Compte:

1) will be open to and work amicably with business owners in the city and ETJ, including the golf course and potential new businesses that can bring in sales tax revenues to offset property taxes to homeowners … he is a proven businessman and will bring that experience to the council.

2) will bring a common-sense approach to negotiations with our water/sewer service provider, getting to the bottom line of the facts on their cost of service and rate base when their service agreement is up for review

3) will be responsive to all property owner concerns … neighborhood speeding and street upgrades are two focus areas.

I believe Charlie Le-Compte is the person Woodcreek needs today. Charlie and wife Pam have strong family values with their son, two daughters and five grandchildren. I ask you to join me in voting for Charlie, thank you.

I strongly support Charlie LeCompte for Woodcreek City Council for several reasons. I have known Charlie since they purchased their home in 2014. I know him to be a man of uncompromising character and integrity. The theme of Charlie’s campaign is “Bring Common Sense Back to City Government”. Charlie understands that city government can’t work well unless the Mayor, City Council and the City Manager work as a team for all the citizens.

As a candidate, these are the things Charlie stands for:

1.Review existing studies and reports on street conditions and prioritize future construction and repairs.

2. Review existing city ordinances and simplify where possible. Ordinances should not be overreaching, should be understandable and should be for the benefit of all the citizens. They should not put an undo burden on property owners.

3. Maintain the existing contract with the Constable’s Office for the protection of our citizens.

4. Encourage and promote more citizen involvement in city government.

5. Promote a more cooperative and positive relationship with the golf course for the benefit of the city.

6. Promote a more positive relationship with Aqua Texas in preparation for the upcoming contract negotiations.

Charlie LeCompte will make an outstanding City Councilman and ambassador for our city.

LeCompte is a devoted family man and upstanding citizen of our beautiful Woodcreek community. His concerns for our water contract and the relationship with the management of our community sustaining golf course; along with the ever increasing traffic and excessive speeds on our roads (issues both becoming paramount with the opening of our new school) come at a time of unprofessional, petty, and self-serving politics rather than a focus on what is best for Woodcreek and its’ residents. His common sense approach to the issues that truly matter to our future are what is needed as we grow and become increasingly impacted by the growth around us. Please vote this year and vote Charles Le-Compte for Woodcreek City Council.

I am writing to share my views on why Charles LeCompte should become a City Council member for Woodcreek. I have known Charles for many years, actually for forty-two years. Charles cares deeply for his family, friends, and community. He is very astute and fair-minded. He is dedicated and would follow through on all endeavors put forth to him as a council member.

Charles has already made numerous friends since retiring in Woodcreek. His election to the city council is highly warranted. Please vote and vote for Charles Le-Compte.

Sincerely,

Trish Sellers
