Letters of Support

As Professor Harold Hill says at the beginning of The Music Man, “Ya got trouble my friends, right here in River City!”

Folks, we’ve got trouble right here in Woodcreek, Texas! We have a city council passing laws we don’t need, spending money we don’t have, and governing in way that violate both state law and the principles of good practice in city governance.

But we have an election coming up, and with it the opportunity to prevent our town’s financial ruin and/or dissolution by the state. We can, if we elect the right people, get this runaway train back on track. But we must look beyond yard sign slogans.

I ask for your vote for JOHN EPLEY, a longtime resident, committee member and observer of city governance. John served as chairman of the original road committee, whose recommendations are still valid, though ignored by this council. He is an honest person with strong moral principles. He is committed to working with both of our largest corporate citizens – the camp and the golf course. Above all, what John Epley would bring to the task of city governance is good sense and sound judgment in practical
