Aqua Texas outage leads to strange places

Late in the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 4, I discovered that once again my home in Woodcreek had no water pressure. I asked neighbors, and they had the same situation. My wife called the phone number for customer service that we receive each month on our bill from Aqua Texas, and the person who answered acted as if she had never heard of Aqua Texas, much less Woodcreek. She gave us another number. My wife called that one and talked to a man in Pennsylvania. He said he could not help and gave her another number to call. That number turned out to be a call-for-sex line! Much later in the day I finally got an email from Woodcreek city officials that the water pressure was in fact a problem, and, significantly, that they had tried to call Aqua Texas to find out about why and when the problem might be repaired, but could not reach anyone! Maybe the Aqua Texas people were too busy accessing the callfor-sex hotline to be able to answer their phones. Get ready, Wimberley, this is what you can expect when you go with Aqua Texas. Oh, that, and higher utility bills.
