Knies deserves new honor

Thank you, City Council, for naming the nature trail in the middle of town after Martha Knies. She was indeed instrumental in the purchase of that land during the early days of our town government. And, her leadership of “Keep Wimberley Beautiful” over the past many years has not only enabled our community to earn the prestige “Texas Governor’s Achievement Award” three times, but has enhanced the lives of all our neighbors by her dedication. Those of us who really think that Wimberley is “A Little Bit of Heaven” have much to thank Martha for as she and her merry band of volunteers have daily been out there decorating our landscape.
