Councilmember Pulley, please reconsider

I have read a copy of the lawsuit filed against our Mayor and the City of Woodcreek. In the suit, Brent Pulley asks for $100,000 or less, his expenses, and his attorney fees....money which this taxpayer believes could go a long way toward improvements to our aging infrastructure.

The lawsuit seeks, among other items, to allow citizens to participate in public comments at meetings, and for Brent Pulley as council member to participate in placing items on the council agenda.

During the current pandemic with social distancing required, the city has strived to provide open meetings while considering the health of all citizens.

This has been a difficult task and requires patience from all of us. I believe Council Member Pulley’s goals could be achieved without the expense of a lawsuit, but instead through better communication with the mayor, fellow council members, and the city administration.

I am asking that Brent Pulley reconsider his actions...drop the lawsuit and help achieve our common goals...we elected all of you to represent the citizens of the City of Woodcreek.
