Robert E. Jeffers

ROBERT E. JEFFERS

Robert E. Jeffers, 84 of Wimberley, TX, Round Rock, TX and Williamson, NY passed away July 13, 2019 while vacationing in Baton Rouge, LA leaving behind his beloved dog, Max.

Robert was born on December 7, 1934 the son of Howard and Kathleen Jeffers. A 1952 graduate of Wayne Central High School in Ontario, NY he was inducted into the Wayne Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2015. A Korean War veteran, he served in the US Navy out of Newport, RI from 1952-55 and continued in the reserves until 1965. In 2018 he was a member of Honor Flight Austin #53.

A member if the IBEW for 62 years, his construction projects included a nuclear power plant, the Alaskian Pipeline, Dell Computer buildings and numerous sites in Rochester, NY and Austin, TX.

An avid Nascar fan he also built yard swings.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother William and sister-in-law Cecilia Jeffers and sisters Naomi, Myrtle, Thelma and Anna Belle.

He is survived by his children Michael R., Thomas P., James T., Theresa M., Mark W., and Paul J. Jeffers, stepchildren Gege Cordeiro, George Cordeiro and Gwen Purtell, sister June (Art) Martin, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews including a special nephew, David Boyd.
