    PATRICIA MAUREEN SCHWETTMANN

Patricia Maureen Schwettmann

The Lord called home another soul, Patricia Maureen Schwettmann, on June 17th. Both a compassionate and fiercely brave woman, she leaves behind a legacy of love for her husband Gerald, her sister and brotherin-law, her daughters, her son-in-law, her daughterin-law, her granddaughters, her sister-in-law, nieces, and nephew.

Hailing originally from Houston, Pat grew up in The Heights, graduated from Trinity University, and went on to obtain her MA from Sam Houston State University. As a teacher and librarian, she touched countless lives and instilled in them a love of reading and learning.

Gerald met the love of his life at church camp, and they shared 58 years in a devoted marriage. After a multitude of family outings to 7-A Ranch Resort in the 70s, the family began constructing a small summer house on the banks of the Blanco River in 1982. Pat knew they would make their home here. Both retired educators, Pat and Gerald eventually settled in Woodcreek in 1997.

A teacher at heart, Pat continued to be a model for all those who knew her. She taught us how to show love, how to remain strong in the face of challenges, and how to live without fear and instead embrace each day.

A celebration of life will be held sometime in the near future.
