Michael Ross Hicks

Michael Ross Hicks, 69, formerly of Wimberley, TX passed away on Wednesday, August 29th at his home in Spring Branch, TX. Mike was born in Waco, TX on December 13, 1948 to Clyde and Billie Jean (Hardin) Hicks. Mike was very active in the Wimberley community. He served as the cemetery manager at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and he donated a lot of his time and money to many causes in the area. He is survived by his son, Adam Hicks of Fischer, TX; daughter, Kirstyn Shartzer and her husband, Bradley of Canyon Lake, TX; sister, Anna Smith and her husband, Chuck of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Alexis Latham of York, PA; brother, Dellus Hodges of Raleigh, NC; brother, Steve Hicks and his wife, Mary of Houston, TX; nephew, Mike Latham and his wife, Kristine of Spring Branch, TX; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, September 2nd at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wimberley. A recitation of the holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 4th at St. Mary Catholic Church and interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
