A native of Houston, she was born on April 15, 1933 to Edna E. Rick and John William Madden of Houston. Her nickname growing up was “Little Mother” but if you ask some of her siblings, they will tell you it was really “Bossy Mary.” She graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston. During their marriage of 65 years, Mary Edna and Bob raised six children “out in the country” on Almeda-Genoa Rd. She loved Saturday evening dances, traveling, making pie crusts, dewberry jelly and peach preserves, fudge, fried chicken, cheese straws, Grandmother’s dressing, piddling with her plants, pancake breakfasts after 8:00 am Mass every Sunday morning, with those special “Mickey Mouse” pancakes, praying the rosary every night with Bob before they went to bed, but most of all, being the best “Little Mother” to her brood. Mary Edna is survived by her husband, Bob, of Wimberley, TX; daughter, Mary Catherine Biediger, and husband, Larry, of Hockley, TX; son, Robert William Weber, Jr., and his wife, Griselda, of Houston; daughter, Edna Marie Wilshusen, and her husband, Richard, of Houston; daughter, Margaret Ann Harris, and husband, Doug, of Fulshear, TX; daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Bills, and husband, Steve, of Sealy, TX; and daughter, Annette Louise Smith, and husband, Robbie, of Waller, TX.
