    LEWIS EDWARD ‘ED’ BROWN

Lewis Edward ‘Ed’ Brown

Lewis Edward “Ed” Brown rode off into the early sunrise on his horse “Big’un” on March 27, 2019 at the age of 78. He was born April 30, 1940 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Jewel and Chester Brown. In April of 1963 Ed married Anita and moved to Irving, Texas where he worked in the printing press business. Around 1970 the family settled in Wimberley, Texas. Ed enjoyed dabbling in many occupations including Real Estate, custom log home building, a trophy shop, drilling water wells and always a good poker game. He loved to play his guitar, team rope on his horse Big’un and spend time outdoors riding his motorcycle all over the countryside with friends. Around 1987 until 2012 he moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico where he met his life partner Patricia Doyal and enjoyed the mountains and cold weather and race horses. It wasn’t until 2012 when he moved back to the Wimberley area.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters Karen Brown and Kelly (Rocky) Romano; sisters Paula (Gene) Holland and Debbie (Alton) Wade. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In keeping with his wishes Ed was cremated and his ashes spread where his horse and dog Big’Un and Cinco are buried.
