Lawrence Dewitt Golden

Lawrence Dewitt Golden, loving husband, brother and stepfather, was taken from us on November 16, 2018. He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and raised in Houston, Texas. Lawrence then studied in Austin, and was a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA. He worked and traveled overseas with Fluor and Bechtel Corporations most of his adult life, where he specialized in Financial Strategy and Planning for oil and gas projects around the world. Lawrence was a mentor to many over the years. He and his wife had recently retired to Wimberley, Texas in 2013, where he served for a time as Vice President of the Skyline Estates Water Conservancy Board. Lawrence was intelligent, caring, and family-oriented.

Lawrence was survived by his wife, Barbara Golden of Wimberley; his brother, Gary L. Golden; his sister, Michele Golden of Austin; and stepson, William Avrillon, a resident in Dubai; as well many numerous caring aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Hubert and Mary Byrd Golden; and his sister Jacquelyn Golden-Rozzell, all of Houston.
