Carol Ann Moore

Carol Ann Moore, 70, a long time resident of Wimberley, TX passed away peacefully at her home on Friday afternoon, May 10, 2019. She was born on September 12, 1948 in Ft. Worth, TX to Harry E. Burke and Henrietta Vanloubbeeck Burke. Carol owned and operated the Burger Barn in Wimberley, on and off, from 1978-1994. She also worked at the Wimberley High School cafeteria in the 1990’s and she worked for the Wimberley Quick Mart from 2008-2015. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moore and her sister, Diane Harmon. Carol is survived by her son, James Edward Benoit of Buda, TX; son, Danny Duckett and his wife, Kellie, of Wimberley, TX; step-daughter, Jessica Mahnken and her husband, Ryan of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Cutter Duckett, Bryce Duckett, Logan Mahnken, Avery Mahnken and Sarah Benoit; one great-granddaughter, Makenzie Horneck and twins on the way. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Wimberley First Baptist Church.
