Woodcreek City Council Top 3 votes received win seat

Nancye Britner

Committee, I am currently researching parks/playgrounds, which is another priority of mine and the community.

WV: After the construction of Brookhollow, what do you believe needs to be done to repair or replace the rest of the roads in Woodcreek and how would you pay for it?

WV: What are your top priorities if elected?

Britner: My number one priority is meeting the community’s needs; as it should be for all. However; our citizens have expressed a need for better roads and we are currently meeting this need. It is a long project, so it will be a priority of mine until it is finished. As a liaison on the Parks and Recreation

Britner: We have three more main roads to redo. Maintenance will be ongoing on all roads. The funding for the main roads perhaps will come from the same source Brookhollow was funded. Within a few years this loan will be paid down enough to reapply for additional funds to reconstruct another main road, IF determined it is needed. The City has funds budgeted for repairs.

WV: From water interruptions to the cost of services, Aqua Texas is always a hot topic in Woodcreek. How, and should, the city of Woodcreek play a role in improving service, cost and communication as it relates to Aqua Texas?

Britner: Currently we are under an existing contract with Aqua Texas, so obviously there is not a lot which can be accomplished at this point in time. The City is currently researching, through legal means, areas which might help us in the future with AT. Communicating to our residents is very important. As soon as the City receives information from AT on an issue, they notify the residents through our text service, email blasts and signage.

WV: With the new WISD school planned to go in next to the Woodcreek entrance, there will likely be a dramatic increase in traffic through the city. Do you think the increased traffic will be an issue and what would you do to address it?

Britner: I believe there will be an increase in traffic, once the new school is open. This is a topic of discussion now. Manners and methods to curtail traffic are being researched already. What will be done has not been determined, due to lack of information on this subject. Once the City has all the necessary information I feel confidant a plan will be developed.

WV: Previous city councils have discussed the merits and issues of annexation. What is your opinion on the city of Woodcreek expanding via annexation?

Britner: In order to protect the Woodcreek city limits and our ETJ from the encroachment of Dripping Springs, I am in favor of annexation.
