Starlight Symphony Orchestra concert will make you laugh out loud

Get ready for the laughs as the Starlight Symphony Orchestra has a special concert series on the stage. On June 3 and 4, the orchestra will kick off their “LOL” (Laugh Out Loud) concert series.

The pops concert this year is going to make your face hurt from smiling too much designed with the sole purpose to make you laugh.

Dine with and support the orchestra by coming to the pre-concert dinner fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. on June 3. On the menu is a pairing of Chef Jonathan’s culinary magic and Wimberley Valley Winery’s amazing wine. After dinner, join them for the “LOL” concert.

The fun begins with the Circus March and from there a narrated introduction of the orchestra. There will be a “Guess that Tune’’ game and a silly “tone poem” based on a theme of audience sounds. The tongue-in-cheek concert is intended to be approachable, family-friendly, classical music in Wimberley Valley.

Enjoy the concerts in the indoor comfort of the Wimberley First Baptist Church on Saturday at 4 p.m. or the great outdoors at Wimberley Valley Winery with a glass of wine and a blanket on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Starlight Symphony Orchestra is a nonprofit orchestra composed of all volunteer musicians of various ages. Orchestra members enjoy performing both classical and pop music and rehearse diligently to present exceptional concerts that are always free and open to the public.
