Sonora Bank Field dedicated at Sonny Gold Ballpark
The Wimberley Youth Sports Association (WYSA) along with its newest field sponsor Sonora Bank welcomed the opening day of youth Baseball and Softball, with Opening Day on Saturday March 2and was highlighted by the raising of our National Anthem, a parade of all the teams, including three and four year olds in Wee-ball. But the main event was the Dedication of Sonora Bank Field.
Sonora Bank is the newest sponsor of a Wimberley Youth Sporting Association field at Sonny Gold Ballpark. Sonora Bank has entered into a 3-year agreement for the naming rights of the field and multiple teams’ sponsorships over the 3-year agreement. Through the sponsorship the purchase of a new upto-date LED scoreboard will be installed for the field as well as for other sports.
Sonora Bank is already breaking ground on their new building with an opening later this year. The new bank will be located at South River next to the Hays County building.
“Josh Smith Vice President and Lending Officer has been a Wimberley banker since 2005 and as a part of this community was instrumental in helping secure the sponsorship with Wimberley Youth Sports Association,” Darron Cudney, WYSA Vice president said.
