Rotary supports Camp Good Sam

The Rotary Club of Wimberley is a proud sponsor of Camp Good Sam. Camp Good Sam summer learning program provides a sixweek, literacy-based program for at-risk youth in Wimberley grades 1st - 5th. Over the summer, many children and their families lose access to critical support systems that keep children engaged in learning. In fact, youth without access to summer learning opportunities can fall behind 2 to 3 grade levels as compared to their peers by the time they reach the fifth grade. Camp Good Sam Wimberley helps approximately 100 students each summer combat the “Summer Slide.”

$1000 was presented by Aileen Edgington on behalf of the Rotary Club of Wimberley to Bryon Eckols, an Advisory Board Member for Camp Good Sam Wimberley.
