New COVID-19 case in Wimberley, three total local recoveries
A new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the Wimberley Valley as one of nine new lab-confirmed cases announced by Hays County on May 4. There are still no confirmed cases within the city limits of Woodcreek.
There have been 176 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hays County, seven of which are in Wimberley. Three of the Wimberley cases have recovered as have 110 of the people with COVID-19 in Hays County.
The total number of active cases in Hays County is 65. There has been one fatality and 16 hospitalizations from COVID-19 in Hays County, five of which are still hospitalized.
The county has received 1,699 negative tests. There are 17 tests currently pending.
