New Bootiful Boot addition

The latest Bootiful Wimberley Boot made its debut Friday, May 17, 2019. Wimberley Valley Arts and Cultural Alliance (WVACA) sponsors the Bootiful boots. If you travel north or south on RR 12 The new boot sits proudly on a large stand at Jean’s Antique Mall. Kim Springer-Smith is the artist who created “Bootiful Dark Skies” for Full Circle Salon’s Leesa Stafford and Jean’s Antiques Petra & Bill Drumwright.

WVACA selected Middleton Brewing as the next boot site. Middleton Brewing owners are Carl and Lucinda Rabenaldt, Rodney and Jeanie Lively, Rob and Karen Case, Dennis and Kim Middleton.

Nine artists responded to the call to submit their designs for the Middleton boot. Dr. Hilda Carpenter, WVACA President said, “All nine entries reflected beautiful works. It was difficult process to pick the top artist. We chose Kim Springer-Smith to paint the Middleton boot. We anticipate this boot unveiling in approximately 3 to 4 months.”

WVACA President Dr. Hilda Carpenter, Artist Kim Springer-Smith and Middleton Brewing Co co-owner, Carl Rabenaldt unveiled Kim’s design for the newest boot on June 5, 2019. Kim’s design includes a Mermaid swimming up from the Blue Hole, and an image of a Wimberley water wheeldemonstrating tributes to San Marcos and Wimberley. The toe features the iconic “A little bit of Heaven.”
