Local company recognized as industry leaders

“When a multi-billion-dollar brand recognizes you as an industry leader, that is exciting,” Marc Berger, CPA, managing partner of McGinnis and Berger, LLP and founder and CEO of Pure:Purely Solutions, said. “It validates that we are doing things the right way.”

Local CPA firm McGinnis and Berger, LLP was featured on Tax Pro Talk, a YouTube series by leading software company Intuit focused on teaching tax and accounting professionals.

“Tax Pro Talk is Intuit’s first YouTube series designed to inform Tax and Accounting Professionals with updates around taxes, Intuit Professional tax products, and share best practices from leading firms around the industry,” Tony Hunt, host of Tax Pro Talk, said.

Intuit is the largest tax and accounting software company in the nation with mainstream products like Quickbooks and Turbo Tax.

McGinnis and Berger, LLP is a traditional CPA firm that is based out of Wimberley. Pure:Purely Solutions is a company that recently started offering accounting, technology and app-based business solutions in the cloud.

“Purely Solutions is a leading firm when it comes to being the example for what firms should evolve to in the next chapter of this profession,” Hunt said. “They are there to embrace the cloud to provide the best experience and service to their clients. We wanted to highlight them and show other professionals where they can take their practice moving forward.”

The cloud is a service for storing and accessing data and programs through the internet instead of on a personal computer or local server.

“Tax Pro Talk wanted to interview us about what we are doing and why we are using the cloud,” Berger said. “Why we think it is important to move to the technology available in the world… We are early adopters to all these technology options in the cloud, and we are doing really well with them. They wanted to showcase us to other CPA firms.”
