Knights prepping for Hunters Night Out

The 19th Annual Hunters Night Out is only a week away on Saturday October 22.

The Wimberley Knights of Columbus, Council 9151 major fundraiser has raised and given back over $1,000,000 to local charitable, religious and scholarship groups. This was accomplished by the generous donations of the community, and sponsors. The money raised here stays mostly in the Wimberley area to help local organization, but is extended to any group in need.

Hunters Night Out, “Under the Big Tent,” is the largest covered and one of the best events in the Wimberley Valley. The open sided tent will provide plenty of seating both covered and under the Texas sky. The event occurs Saturday Oct. 22 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church 14711 Ranch Rd. 12 in Wimberley, Texas.

HNO doors open at 5:30 p.m. for this fun family event with children under 12 admitted free. You may buy tickets or get info from a local Knight or online at: www.huntersnightout. com. The pre-event ticket price is $40 per ticket or four for $140. Tickets at the door are $50. Your ticket includes music, a delicious barbecue dinner, beverages, a chance to win one of 30 guns, live auction participation and bucket raffle opportunities. More importantly, you get to spend time with friends and family. Live music starts at 5:45 p.m. and the food is served 6 to 8 p.m. The Festivities start at 7 p.m. with the introduction of USA Colors.

HNO’s Gun Raffle gives away 30 Guns, by Cabela’s gift cards, and features a live auction, bucket raffles and card scrambles. The live auction features: a golfers dream trip with woods, irons, and lunch, a Barton Creek golf weekend, a Hawaii vacation (accommodates 6), Wimberley Area weekend vacation packages, two AKC Labrador Retriever puppies, a Longhorn calf, several quality hunting packages, dinner for 10 catered by the Knights, and a Banded Calloway Bull in memory of Tom Keyser. There will also be 25 plus bucket raffle drawings at the end of the evening. Some of the bucket raffle items include combination gifts such as: Golden Boy Rifle, gift certificates, $500 cash, deer feeder, guided fishing trip, hand carved duck decoy and Yeti cooler, wildlife prints, beautiful cornhole boards, wine barrow and booze barrow. To participate in the bucket raffles, you buy your tickets at the event and must be present to win. Your support of this family friendly event helps local Wimberley charities and many others. Further info: www. huntersnightout.com The gun raffle is only one part of the evening, and you don’t have to be present to win a gun. If you do win one of the 30 Gun Raffle prizes you receive a Cabela’s Gift Card. It is redeemable for an equivalent value of any Cabela’s merchandise. When you buy a ticket from a Knight you fill in your stubs with your info and your ticket stubs are placed into the hopper for the drawing. If you order online, your tickets automatically go into the drawing.

The Knights of Columbus are a global catholic fraternal service organization, with charity at the heart of their work and faith. The local Knights, who organize and produce Hunters Night Out, are a group of God loving patriots who believe in liberty and care about everyone in our community.
