On Monday, April 20, Imagine Wimberley, in cooperation with Linda’s Fine Foods, Maximum Wellness Chiropractic, Dr. Robert White’s office, Wade Dahl from Century 21 and David Boyd from Wimberley Gardens honored Wimberley Valley first responders with a free lunch to show appreciation for the essential services they have been providing to our community since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. “We are so grateful for the hometown heroes who continue to shine in providing necessary services for the residents of our beloved Wimberley,” says Jamie Pettit, Wimberley resident.

Meals were available to EMS workers, Hays County, Dripping Springs and Travis County officers as well as HEB and Brookshire Brothers employees. Each hot, home-cooked meal contained two brisket sliders, two ribs, avocado coleslaw and potato salad, all prepared by Linda’s Fine Foods. Volunteers delivered the meals to employees of HEB and Brookshire Brothers. Other personnel picked up their meals at Linda’s Fine Foods. Imagine Wimberley funded the lunch with donations from members of the organization and community members. Imagine Wimberley is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed in 2019 to raise and distribute funds in support of initiatives that foster unity in the Wimberley Valley community, contribute to the realization of progressive values, and provide support to those in need during crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Other current efforts of Imagine Wimberley include support to several local food banks to help those adversely affected by the COVID-19 mitigation efforts, including the closure of non-essential businesses.
