Eliza Gilkyson at Susanna’s Kitchen

Join us to welcome Eliza Gilkyson back to Susanna’s Kitchen Coffeehouse on Thursday, March 21. Doors open by 7:00 p.m. Concert begins at 7:30 pm at Wimberley United Methodist Church (corner RR 12 & CR 1492). Adults $25, students under 18 $5. Sugar Shack Bakery pies, tamales, pizza, coffee, and soft drinks are available. Proceeds benefit Barnabas Connection, Camp Good Sam Wimberley, and Operation Good Shepherd, and provides scholarships for WUMC’s Bright Beginnings Preschool. Raptors in the Park at Blue Hole

Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. At the Christopher Blab Basketball Court. Learn how birds contribute to our environment, see how hawks hunt and hear the truth about vulture vomit! The park has 120 chairs, but you can bring your own. Back for the fifth straight year, San Antonio’s Last Chance Forever- Birds of Prey Conservancy brings these magnificent birds, along with their expertise from years of raptor rehabilitation, to this popular Friends education event. Generous sponsorships from the Wimberley Birding Society and Edward and Carolyn Galle help make this 2019 free event possible. Your donations are encouraged. St. Stephen’s Roadside Cleanup

The St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Roadside Cleanup Committee has scheduled its first 2019 cleanup day for Saturday, March 23 beginning from 7-8 a.m. at the MacArthur Fellowship Hall & Courtyard, 6000 FM 3237.

Spring Spruce Up

March 23 2019, Keep Wimberley Beautiful and the Wimberley Lion’s Club will be sponsoring a “Spring Spruce Up”, a community wide street clean up event in conjunction with statewide “Great American Clean-UP” . Registration will take place at Lion’s Field, 601 FM 2325, at 8:00am were volunteers will receive their location assignments and pick up their clean up supplies. Later, participants are invited to return for a hot dog lunch, prizes and trash related games. Because the majority of the clean up areas will be along dangerous local roadways, there is a minimum age of 16 to participate. Three Billy Goats Gruff at EmilyAnn

EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens will present Three Billy Goats Gruff from March 2 through March 24 as part of the Children’s Series. The shows are on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

In the Garden with Master Gardeners “Spring Vegetables”

Tuesday, March 28, 2 - 3 pm, at the Wimberley Village Library If your green thumb is starting to itch, you can join Suzanne Love for a program focused on “Spring Vegetables”. During this interactive discussion, Suzanne will explain the importance of 1) proper planning, 2)site and soil preparation, 3)plant selection and planting guide, and 4) tools and tips for a bountiful harvest.

4th Thursday Book Club

Due to a scheduling problem we will meet this month in the living room at Deer Creek. March 28, 11am – Noon. National Book Award Finalist “News of the World” by Paulette Jiles will be discussed .In the aftermath of the Civil War, an aging itinerant news reader agrees to transport a young captive of the Kiowa back to her people in this exquisitely rendered, morally complex, multilayered historical fiction that explores the boundaries of family, responsibility, honor, and trust.

Chapel in the Hills Garage Sale

Chapel in the ills will host a garage sale on Friday March 29th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, March 30 starting at 9 a.m.

Picnic With The Community for St. Stephen’s

Every year, parents of St. Stephen’s school hosts a private extravaganza to raise money to help fill funding gaps. This year, the school is stepping up the game and stepping outside. On Saturday, March 30th from 3-7pm, a celebration will be held at Vista Brewing in Driftwood, TX. The event is open to all, and there will be entertainment and games for all ages. From bounce houses to beer steins, ponies, to face painting, live music, and farm fresh food – there will truly be something for everyone to enjoy. All proceeds of the event go directly to St. Stephen’s School to fund things like maker’s programs, technology upgrades, and building and playground maintenance. The school is also hoping to increase teacher benefits.

Wimberley Wine Walk

April 4 @ 5:00 Pm - 8:00 Pm This year’s Wine Walk will take place at Blue Hole Regional Park. We will host wineries, food trucks and live music for you to enjoy! Concert in the Park at Blue Hole

Concert in the Park will be held every Friday in April at Blue Hole Regional Park. On Friday, April 5, Christy Hays will play starting at 6 p.m. Admission is by donation.

Wimberley Community Chorus Concert

The Wimberley Community Chorus will host a free concert on April 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. and April 7 at 3 p.m. At Avey Hall at Chapel in the Hills, 14601 RR12 in Wimberley.

Diabetic Education Classes

FREE Diabetic Education Classes are being offered by Wimberley Home Health. The April classes will be held at the Wimberley Medical Plaza, 201 FM 3237, Suite #123, Wimberley, Texas 78676. We will meet on Friday April 5,12,19, and 26th, from 1:00 -3:00. Plan to attend all four classes. Star Party at Blue Hole

The city of Wimberley and Texas State Astronomy Club will host a Star Party at Blue Hole Regional Park on April 6 at 7 p.m. The event is free and will be held on the soccer fields. Bring flashlights and experience the park like you never have before. Guests are encouraged to bring picnic, chairs and blankets.

‘FRIDAY FISH FRY’ by Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus at St. Mary Catholic Church is offering its Friday Fish Fry 5-7:30pm March 8 – April 12 in the church hall. Cost is $10.
