Egg-citment of the hunt

“We live in a beautiful place,” Jose Abaroa, lead pastor at Cypress Creek Church, said. “Looking down at the valley, we live in a beautiful place.”

And Abaroa would know. On Sunday, he was in a helicopter along with 6,000 Easter eggs that took off over the South River Business Park before dropping the eggs in the field alongside Ranch Road 12 in front of the church. Hundreds of egg-cited children quickly overtook the field in a hunt for the most eggs.

“Celebrating inside is important, because that is where we celebrate as believers in Jesus,” Abaroa said, pointing to Cypress Creek Church behind him. “But celebrating out here with all the kids is a great opportunity to make church fun.”

There were actually two egg drops of 3,000 eggs each separating the younger kids egg hunt from the older.
