Both Hays County and the city of Wimberley have closed all parks to the public.
The closures include the Jacob’s Well Natural Area, Blue Hole Regional Park, Old Baldy, Cypress Creek Nature Trail and Preserve, Patsy Glenn Refuge and Martha Knies Communtiy Park, along with additional county-owned parks not in the Wimberley Valley.
As part of the closures, the city of Wimberley is also closing public spaces.
“No one shall be permitted to enter any park or public space including open spaces, greenspaces, trails, park facilities or public restrooms maintained and operated by the City,” a press release from the city said.
The closures will remain in effect “until further notice.”
