Best of Wimberley

Another incredible Best of Wimberley contest is behind us with thousands of local votes casts. We at the Wimberley View want to take a second and thank all of those who voted this year, as we couldn’t put on such a quality contest without your participation.

This year, we crowned some multiple-time winners again, but there were also plenty of fresh faces on the ballot.

This was one of the first chances voters had the opportunity to nominate new businesses like Wimberley Gardens, Wimberley Market Place and Mad Roosters, all of which won their respective categories.

In some of our more popular categories, WAG Rescue pulled out the victory for Best Non-Profit with Barnabas Connection coming in a close second. Susan Myers was named our Community Volunteer of the Year while Ken Strange won Best Civic Leader for the third straight time.

In a testament to our wonderful schools, Best Teacher in Wimberley had 61 nominations. Over the last three years, we have had almost different 200 teachers nominated. This year, Vera Dyson, with the Wimberley Montessori School took first with Maggie Carpenter placing second from the Wimberley ISD system.

Look inside this week’s edition of the Wimberley View for a special publication announcing the winners. There are plenty worth congratulating.
