MoonGlow Big Band Dance coming soon

The Wimberley Valley Big Band is excited to present a whole lot of great big band music in a FREE dance, A MoonGlow Big Band Dance, in downtown Wimberley on Saturday, November 2. This ticketed but free dance will be held at the BackStage venue, located behind the burnedout Cypress Creek Café building on what we hope will be a beautiful fall evening. Should it rain, the dance will be canceled and rescheduled.

The gates will open at 4:30 pm, and the music will go from 5-8 pm. The area will be lighted.

The BackStage hosted the Wimberley Valley Big Band on June 1, 2019, for a great kick-off to summer dance. Many thanks to our hosts! There’s a concrete dance “floor” in front of the bandstand, and a nice grassy area surrounding all that. Park in the public parking lot off Blue Heron Run or on the Square, if you’re lucky!

This is a TICKETED BUT FREE event. You can get your free tickets at Eventbrite (link below), on our FaceBook page (Wimberley Valley Big Band), or by contacting the Band at [email protected]. Tickets will also be available at the gate.

Bring your lawn chairs, your blankets, your sweaters (if you need them!), your coolers and snacks (byob), and maybe a flashlight. We are fortunate to have Gringa’s Grub Shack, our great local food truck, on site that evening if you need a good hamburger or snacks.

Your donations make these events possible. As a local non-profit dedicated to providing great music to the Wimberley Valley community, the Wimberley Valley Big Band is always appreciative of our sponsors and donors. Your support is necessary for our continued survival. Please consider donating!

Come to listen, come to dance, come to just enjoy the beautiful Hill Country fall evening.
