In this challenging season where many community holiday plans must be set aside due to health concerns and subsequent restrictions, First Baptist Church is stepping forward to create an opportunity for people to celebrate with their families in a safe and meaningful way.

Guests will be invited to begin with a unique drive thru Christmas story experience. They will travel along a pathway and listen to a narrative from their phone in the comfort and safety of their vehicles as they view several scenes along the way depicting the story of Jesus and the hope of Christmas.

Then they will be invited to park and visit a Christmas Village. They’ll enjoy a festive outdoor celebration complete with fun for kids, family photo opportunities, and fire pits where they can comfortably gather and make their own s’mores. The Hill Country Community Band will provide music on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30 – 7:00 and Disney princesses will be there to help usher in the season. Hot chocolate and food will be available and monetary donations will be welcomed with proceeds to be given to Mercy Chefs.
