City breaks ground on new hospitality center
Wimberley city leaders celebrated the groundbreaking of the community’s first hospitality center near the town square on Wednesday, Jan. 19. The center on Oak Drive will offer local residents and visitors an information kiosk, accessible public restrooms and ADA compliant parking spaces, a pocket park and sidewalks in this very popular part of town. 01/27/2022 12:00 AM

Wimberley High School seniors Simón Ramírez and Carson Weems were each selected to All-State bands following a lengthy audition process. The Wimberley Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the city council deny a potential planned development district that would allow for a 31-site RV and tiny home park on Ranch Road 12 across the street from Plaza Del Sol. Feral Hog Management to include bounty program in Hays County
Hays County will be continuing countywide feral hog management efforts in 2022 after receiving a $7,500 grant from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Wildlife Services.
